Miffy the Rabbit Lands in Hong Kong With Flower-Filled Pop-Up Boutique

A beloved Dutch-Japanese floral concept makes its Causeway Bay debut, offering DIY bouquets, homeware and collectible cards through mid-August.

For nearly a decade, fans of the minimalist rabbit with the iconic cross-shaped mouth have admired Flower Miffy from afar. The boutique concept, which merges floral design with kawaii aesthetics, opened its first permanent location in Japan in 2016. This summer, it has hopped across the water to Hong Kong, setting up a pop-up shop in Causeway Bay through Aug. 16, 2026.

Located at Shop G-01, G/F, wwwtc mall, 280 Gloucester Road, the pop-up transforms Dick Bruna’s famously simple character into a multisensory experience — part flower shop, part lifestyle store, part shrine to the clean lines of Dutch design blended with Japanese charm. Visitors are encouraged to take their time browsing the carefully curated space.

Build-Your-Own Bouquet at the Flower Buffet

The centerpiece of the pop-up is the Flower Buffet, a DIY bouquet station where shoppers become their own florist. Participants choose from five varieties of plush blooms — sunflowers, corn poppies, lavender, roses and gerbera daisies — then mix, match and wrap the arrangement in signature Miffy packaging.

A standard bouquet of three plush flowers starts at $130. Customers can customize with up to six items total. For those who prefer to skip the assembly, ready-made dried flower bouquets and exclusive tulip plush flowers are also available.

Lifestyle Collection Extends Beyond Blooms

The shop’s appeal stretches well past fresh flowers. A full lifestyle collection includes:

  • Strawberry Party tableware — mint green teapots, cups, plates and dessert spoons trimmed in gold with Miffy motifs, priced between $100 and $380
  • Glass vases inspired by Miffy’s original illustrations
  • Plant pots and watering cans designed to make gardening appear especially adorable
  • Floral tabletop and wall mirrors with three-dimensional flower detailing ($380)
  • Organza drawstring pouches printed with birth-flower designs ($320)
  • A wide selection of bags, pouches and totes for dedicated collectors

Shopping Incentives Encourage Deeper Spending

The pop-up is running a tiered rewards program to entice larger purchases. Customers who spend $300 or more receive a random limited-edition collectible card featuring Miffy in various poses. Those who reach $1,500 take home the complete card set.

A Tightly Themed Experience Worth the Visit

Flower Miffy does not attempt to be everything to everyone. Instead, it offers a tightly focused, deeply considered space built around a simple premise: that flowers and Miffy’s understated charm belong together. Between the DIY bouquet bar, the homeware that tempts even practical shoppers, and the collectible incentives for completionists, the pop-up provides an easy way to spend an hour in Causeway Bay — and an even easier way to leave with more bags than planned.

Dates: June 18 – August 16, 2026. Organizers have not announced whether the concept will extend beyond the pop-up period, but given the enthusiastic reception in Japan and the strong local interest, a longer-term presence remains a possibility. For now, fans of floral design and minimalist rabbit aesthetics alike have two months to experience the collaboration in person.
